Having found that my temp gauge was showing overheating, rather than my engine actually overheating, and having suffered a rather embarrassing 'running out of fuel' breakdown, I can firmly recommend calibrating your gauges.
This is my fuel gauge reading at 4.8v, when the needle should have been between the middle set of dots.
