If you are thinking going down Holley route have a look at the Edelbrock Weber, not seen one on an Essex yet but my carb of choice for the RV8, cfm's from 250 to 500 plus lot's of jets available, and you now get a timed vac port :D

Never try and argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you based on experience.

Those Edelbrocks look good value. Did you custom make your own inlet manifold?

I think they fit the “available” Holley-esque manifolds but from what I remember some of them work OK, some others don’t. Swaymar was one of them but can’t remember which one needs the carb rotating 90 degrees to work properly (I.e. have a primary and secondary per bank) - plus I vaguely recall something about the angle of the manifold not matching the tilt of the engine on some?
