Spoke too soon. The gauge I bought with 1/8 NPTF thread on is tapered, and the end of the oil flexi is a parallel thread.
Dare I say it, that's not a problem with the pipe, it's a problem with your gauge :) The pipe is designed to fit the Scimitar gauge (mine screwed straight on, and I don't remember any one else having a problem with the gauge fitting, "on a Scimitar")

Most aftermarket gauges are 1/8" NPTF I've found..and most (older) engines have BSP ports.

Scimitar se5a oil pressure feed pipe?

Fitting of the engine in my 5a hadn't been completed when I bought it - stupid question but I can't for the life of me find where the oil pressure guage pipe fits?! Obviously one end on the guage but where is the connection located on the engine block? Thanks!
