Hello everybody at Scimitar.

My name is Henrik and I live in Sweden. I have recently bought an "British Scooter Ski" ( picture) that was standing by the road with an "For sale" sign. I have now discovered that I have bought a piece of motor history in ok condition.

I am now desperatly trying to find more info on these machines. The info I have managed to get so far is that it left the factory in dec 1969 and was 1 of 700 who was built in Preston. This I found out from the Bond owners club. http://www.bondownersclub.co.uk/types/o ... erski.html

It is in ok condition with one problem. I am missing the exhauts pipe that was lost by the previous owner. He also did the big sin of cutting a hole in rear and mounted a wooden piece for an outboard engine, but that I can repare.

Are there anyone out there who knows somebody that also have one? I want to restore this Scooter Ski into original condition and would really like to find a manual and some pictures of the exhaused pipe. Does anybody know where I can get any parts for it.

The engine is an Rotax 185cc twostroke and its propeller driven.

I hope I can get some help here.

Bets regards / Henrik.

Looking at the differing specs and prices on the sporting reliant and bond sites, I can only assume that they were originally with the aspera engine and then later the larger rotax.

Good luck, at least rotax spares are a bit easier to find than aspera/tecumsah
