What kind of washer

Post by cannonball » Thu May 16, 2019 11:51 am

This may seem a daft question but when I drained the radiator there was the remnants of a rubber washer clinging to the radiator drain plug so I replaced it with a better rubber one but for some reason alarm bells are ringing. Visions of plug vibrating loose and falling off whilst on the move etc.

Should the washer be copper, brass, rubber or one of those nylon things.
