SE5 heater

Post by nickm » Wed Feb 14, 2018 4:58 pm

I have just removed the heater unit from my SE5[seeing as the engine is out again!] and it needs a new matrix.
Does anyone know of an alternative that will fit as new ones are over £100?
Also, how does the motor come out as it is held in with some kind of rivet?
On another subject,I dropped my block off to get rebored at the Car Clinic in Darwen.
They are very helpful and are only charging £70 for the rebore and their pistons are very well priced as well.
I decided to go for their twin DGAS manifold with the money I saved.
Cheers,
Nick

Thanks for your offer, but I don't want to risk it because once the engine
is back in the access is terrible.
