I think that the front bumper crossmember can stay on the body (then you don't have to fight with the overriders) - the support plates are the two side plates - they're bolted to the chassis at the bottom and the crossmember at the top. for the front outrigger bolt - if the outrigger is badly corrod...

try it with a seperate earth wire direct to the battery.

HOORAY Back on the road again!!! :D :D :D :D well done not so hooray, OD still wont work check electrical circuit (inc inhibit switch), check oil level, clean filters dashboard lights dont work check rotary knob for illumination level (bottom right of centre console IIRC) And on the way back today ...

Talking about 'the box' I have heard this mentioned a few times now and i have 1 main question, surely the only part of the carb that needs to be under pressure is where the air goes into the carb, this is already 'boxed' as such from where the turbo feeds into the box on top of the carb. you should have asked me to cut that bit out of the scrap chassis - I was at the farm Saturday and a mate was in Arborfield Sunday :roll:

doesn't look like you modified it to make room for a big bore pipe?

the minnow will allegedly turbo (sealed spindles and balancing vent), the later (cheaper copy - big bun fight over licensing) reece, won't without mods.

excessive oily smells from the breather cap usually indicate worn rings (the sump gets pressurised and oil vapour is forced around the breather system) :(

I agree with Roger on the boot stay - I also think you need to fabricate a new captive plate for the boot lock or it will come adrift and jump open at a most inconvenient time :?

if Steve can get it here, DJ works in Bordon (could put it on the SS1) and I go to Odiham with a van from work occasionally (I'm actually going tomorrow) neither of which are a million miles from you.
