OFFER: Sheffield to Reading

Hello Phil, I don't suppose your offer goes as far as collecting a roadworthy 6a from Redruth in Cornwall, does it? (I can manage the drive from Beighton to Worksop)

Scimitar wanted

If you need even more encouragement, watch the gorgeous Ellie Harrison doing it on Countryfile (BBC iplayer from Monday)

I must admit I have taken this info from a similar thread on 'mx5 forum' pages.

Scimitar wanted

If anybody needs convincing that this route is scenic, try looking at the "evo car of the year 2015" film on youtube (sorry, I can't do fancy things like links etc).

I'm in a car park

I wonder how long it will take for someone to suggest a 'Reliant le-jog or jog-le'? I can already sense people thinking about it, as I write.

Adrian Flux magazine

Hi,

I've just come across influx.co.uk the home of Adrian flux classic magazine. I am sure many members are aware of this but some, like me, may not be (I am always the last to find out).

5a stripped and sold as spares

I wouldn't dream of criticising any owner for such a decision. My own view (for what it's worth) is that it was a brave decision which liberated a number of sought-after spares to help others with their projects. I did think of taking that route when the Ebay sale of my 6a fell through at the start ...

5a stripped and sold as spares

I am sure many forum members have seen the 5a advertised on this forum as parts for sale. An abandoned project? Is this the future for Scimitars? On the one hand, it is a Scimitar lost for good. On the other hand it has provided a (no doubt welcome) source of parts to further many other projects. Is...

1997 GTE 6a on ebay

Thanks for that, Jim (I have an appointment with the optician next week). It appears to have been well maintained until recently when it changed hands. It has travelled a long way from Kent to Yorkshire. I am now guessing it will break my cash limit. I agree with your observations on the paint, Pete...

1997 GTE 6a on ebay

Hi, this Scimitar caught my eye on Ebay this morning (reg TOD 502 R 1997, I can't do links) when I tried to check its' heritage on DVLA, I got a big question mark (I don't do too well with the web in general) does anybody know this car?

At around 1pm, I was able to look directly at the sun which was a vivid orange globe! (definitely not recommended on a normal day)

Vorsprung Durch Tecnic

Apparently, Audi TT TDi 1900cc driven by Brian Jukes (according to the programme). Apparently it was all too much for him as no results were posted for this car or driver.

Definitely not what you want to show the car buying public. This was his first lap of the day (but not his last) Rallycross at Ginetta Blyton Park R

What happens to all the XXXX's ?

Tim, not to seem facetious in any way, have you tried shelf-filling at Tesco or working in a fast food place? I know it is some time ago (but my situation was the same) I was one of 'Maggies Millions' a middle manager in engineering in the early eighties. I changed career direction many times before...
