FOR SALE: 1985 SS1 1600 GALVANISED CHASSIS!

Sorry Max, I should have pointed out that Worksop is in the frozen North of Nottinghamshire. It is halfway between the A1m and the M1, just off the A57. the postcode is S80 2RY. I should also have added that the car is currently on the road, taxed for another month and insured and TESTED until March...

FOR SALE: 1985 SS1 1600 GALVANISED CHASSIS!

due to joining the NHS waiting list for 2 replacement knee operations, I have decided to sell the SS1 which I bought from EBAY in April of this year. I believe the car was regenerated in recent years by a forum member following some time in storage. It has the benefit of a galvanised chassis with a ...

RSSOC Curborough 20 Aug 2017

I also passed my test in an Anglia, I was allowed to use the slightly more powerful de-luxe for my test (which I stalled on a slight hill in Worksop town centre, but still passed). Our paths may well have crossed at Oulton in the lat...

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

J have just seen a well turned-out Humber Hawk driving into THORESBY CLASSIC SHOW @ Thoresby Hall (just off A614 north of Ollerton) They usually put on a good show.

Gearbox quandary!....

Hi mn757,I remember the difficulty I had finding a spare servo for the 6a I had (ended up handing £300 to Graham Walker) If you can PM a price it could be a starting point.

Converting an SS1 would be fun - first convert the pedal to push a slave cylinder instead of pulling a cable, then convert the gearbox to a hydraulic slave (concentric might be better?), then add a remote servo somewhere (plenty of room in an SS1). Expensive if you're paying for expert labour - but...

Did Fuzz Townshend not fit a servo to someone's clutch on Wheeler dealers for a similar reason or have I just made that up  I'm not sure about Fuzz, but I contacted Nigel who had done one in a Scimitar for PC magazine. (I was looking for SS1) That's why I missed Curborough, and you lot keep g...

I have today decided that I will dispose of my 1985 SS1 (1600CVH) B178RWK at some time in the very near future, certainly by the end of September. I am in need of 2 replacement knees, which I understand will commence Oct/Nov of this year and last for a period of upto 2 years, by which time I will ha...
