how many left?

Sorry to be a nuisance but I have been browsing on the howmanyleft.co.uk website. How accurate is this count? Is it taken from official statistics? I ran a check on a DVLA statistics site and the spreadsheet it delivered ran out at Mercedes on my computer (there appears to be a second page which I c...

SS1 distributor

Hi, I am sure this question has been asked before but I can't find an answer. My 1600 CVH recently started misfiring. I checked everything out and the only thing I could see wrong was that the coil was sparking across all three terminals. I replaced the coil with a new one and cured the dancing spar...

Re: Rear Light Wiring

Good morning Harry, My GTE is now gone, along with its' wiring diagram, but from what I remember there are left side feeds/earths and right side feeds/earths to the rear lights. Unfortunately it sounds as though you may have made the same mistake that I did at the start by mixing these, so make your...

Re: urgent question wheel nut torque

It may be frowned upon by many members of the forum but I agree entirely with Nigel's suggestion.Take a test, see what the outcome is and then decide where your stash needs to be spent for best effect.

Re: What should I be looking to pay..

Just like Steve, I bought a 6a just over a year ago complete with a 'mates' MOT. I paid £1750 and consider I paid over the odds for this car. The car came with 2 years of clean-sheet MOTs and failed 6 months later with a list of items which cost me about £750 in spares. Even so, I had a wonderful ye...

Hi Phil, I have been a regular visitor to the forum for some time now and have found it very interesting. I joined the club after Christmas and my membership number appears to be 4201. If you could do the honours, I would greatly appreciate that. I should add my thanks for all that you, and several ...

I think you have it there Jim. As CORKY said in the second of your links... One mans' trash is another mans' treasure...

I don't think this debate is possible to resolve, long live Classic Cars.

Classic Car: definition

We all know that our Reliant cars are 'Classic cars' but who defines them as such? What makes a car a Classic? Is it age? Is it design? Is it rarity? I ask the question because recently I did a search on Ebay for a 'cheap automatic' car to use as a runabout whilst I took my daily drive (automatic se...
