Mathew was very chatty and helpful and showed me around the garage area at ...

hi all, small update. i am enjoying driving the car and it seems to be settling down a bit, but whilst some things are getting fixed others seem to appear. such is life with old cars. rear hatch catch now works fine. clean and adjustment did the trick. car overheats and i really need another radiato...

Differing exhaust notes each side

Differing exhaust notes each side

:o

brilliant... as you infer, leave well alone. wont do any harm to check the clearances at some point though i guess, just as a general service point anyway.

thanks again, Ian.

Differing exhaust notes each side

Thanks everyone. I am not sure my terminology is right... maybe popping isnt right. It is firing OK I think and regular on both sides. Its just a "tinnier" or more "ringing" sound. Probably nothing to worry about, just thought would ask in case it was a known symptom of something. I will take a look...

Differing exhaust notes each side

good morning all, no, i am not going mad. i am happily motoring now with the 6a after a few issues that are mostly now sorted, but i have noticed that there is a distinct difference in exhaust note for each bank. the exhausts are the same design each side, same condition etc. but the exhaust on the ...

cheers, Ian.

auto gearbox "knock"/vibration

Good morning all, i have had a couple of days trouble free motoring in the 6a and enjoying life with the new carb etc. driven 35 miles to work today, all good except i have now noticed a rhythmical vibration/knock through the body work. knock is too strong a term, more like something pulsing through...
