No pics today :( I have driven Zeus to work nearly every day this week. Engine and gearbox mounts changed and reverse lights now working (broken wiring in the loom). The gearbox is mega loud, oil level is good. Probably due a rebuild  My rocker covers are leaking despite new gaskets and my best...

Cool colour!
No questions are stupid and it's better to ask than to get something wrong!

New washer pump and wiper blades fitted, ready for the rain now 8) (if you ignore the floppy wiper spindles) Got a few bits ordered today including new alternator, engine mounts and a repair kit for the heater valve which sadly popped. I did manage to remove, clean, grease and re fit it which has ma...

Managed to drive to work today, changed the aux belt and fixed a few misc bits. Found some time in the afternoon to get it up on the ramp quickly. NS sill and outriggers are pretty good, in fact the whole chassis appears pretty good. However, there is a bit of rot on the OSF outrigger/sill. Can't co...

Few more bits sorted and the first proper drive last night, temps seemed to stay at or below 90 deg however the fan cuts in (for about 15 seconds) when driving slowly - normal? Was happy that the overdrive works, however the gearbox grumbles and the brake pedal is very hard. Feels like the servo isn...

Looking at that cam again, is it possible that it's just worn away? I was told by the previous/original owner that this car had covered around half a million miles and he used to drive up and down the country doing press photography so would have kept cameras in the boot. That's a LOT of tailgate ac...

I wonder if yours has been replaced at some point?.
I did wonder if it had been replaced. The latch operates without much effort so I doubt it will snap (for now anyway)

Is it a moto-lita steering wheel? Aye 8) Cracked on trying to sort the latch out, there are no spacers listed in the workshop manual so instead it made sense to re drill the actuator spindle and re position the cam. The hatch closes properly now, I just need to get a new tailgate seal. IMG_1557.jpg...

I offered up the hatch latch and found that the cam on the turn knob doesn't meet up with the striker on the latch. The lock was originally spaced with some very rotten wood which I had assumed was a bodge... but now wondering if it was mean't to be like that? Any suggestions please? Dashboar...

I had acquired 4 Cobra seats, some with rips and tears, and set about making a good pair. Here's the result 0F396ADF-9299-47E2-BFA6-C3558C0C3BB5.jpeg IMG_1383.jpg IMG_1389.jpg Turns out there were 2 different types and I've made the best job of it I could at a very minimal price. A huge improvement ...

The keen eyed may have noticed that the previous photo was a silicone hose set for a 6a not a 5a! Unfortunately wrong set sent by the supplier but they soon exchanged them for the correct ones. However... I found the heater hoses were a very sloppy fit on the heater matrix and inlet manifold stubs. ...
