Needing inspiration

I’ve got to that point in the restoration when having a local noggin would be a great help! From the chassis point of view the dirty work is done ......It’s rolling and looks good and the brake pipes are virtually finished , but I’ve still a car in three bits ( body , chassis, engine/‘box) and you l...

Forgetfullness

Perhaps because you are good at your job you sometimes have a lot on your mind, that is often a reason. A few years back I stopped at a petrol station , put in £20 of fuel , got into the car and continued on my way to work. It was only when I went to buy a sandwich for lunch that I realised I was £2...

Se5 dashboard surround.

‘Evening gentlemen Does anybody have a spare Se5 dashboard surround to sell please. Condition is not Important. I already have a serviceable dash to go with it, but would consider buying the whole thing if necessary. It is for conversion to Lhd rather than risk the original and means I can take one ...

Well here goes!

I wish I could work on the car more often , but it’s steadily moving in the right direction. It’s easy to get disheartened sometimes. I’m trying to make the garage more comfortable during the winter as well, I find the older I get the more the cold gets into your joints 😂

Well here goes!

Hi Chris, no the body is still sitting in the garage on one side and the engine and ‘box are sitting in the front half of the old chassis on the other side😉. So far I haven’t lost anything but there’s plenty of scope yet 😂. Desperately want the body on by the end of this year......work and family li...

Well here goes!

At last the chassis is rolling again ! Near rear brakes installed with refurbished drums. Front calipers will hopefully return from Biggred next week and then I’ll install new copper nickel brake pipes ( I kept the old ones as patterns). That’s the plan .......then the engine and gearbox ! AC5B1ED8-...

Brake lines

'Morning gentlemen. I thought there was a layout diagram of the Se 5 brake line routing on here somewhere but can't see it. Does somebody have one to post on here please? As usual my workshop manual is as much use as a chocolate teapot :D ! Hope somebody on here has less rain than we have, it's diff...

Finally mentioned as an Undervalued Classic

Hi Pete, I bought the latest Classic Car to read the article, but I always thought Scimitar owners had them because they are a really great car. It’s like being part of a secret society 😉👍. PS , you’re not missing anything at Heathrow and I’ve worked out I’ll have to work to 90 to get a pension😫 Sor...

Finally mentioned as an Undervalued Classic

Wheels are obviously a personal choice but I always think of the 70’s and jacked up old Ford Consuls and rusty Capris with bad flame jobs when I see Wolfraces......It’s from reading copies of Hot Car and Custom Car when I was at an impressionable age. No offence intended personal opinion only. Altho...
