SE5 parts

I carefully packed and labelled parts taken off the car but have mislaid  the mount for and the numberplate light. Also the twin reversing lights ( not the surface mount type but the early type where the bulb holder recesses into the body). I'll 'phone Nigel on Monday but as it's Saturday even...

You hadn’t given me a price yet.Let me know and thanks for holding on to the bumper. Common sense has prevailed .....I just want to get her mot’d and registered . Once that is done and she is running well etc etc then I will fit the lhd rack as a separate project. There’s no rush and I really want t...

Ok Mark, thanks for that. I would still like to buy it . Are you happy to hang on to it for a while until I’m over and can get up to you?

early SE5

Welcome Emile. I think you will find there are photos on the forum showing the position of the chassis number. However my personal experience on both a scrap chassis removed from my car and the replacement was that the chassis number was not to be found after much careful inspection. Perhaps neither...

Hi Mark
Sorry just seen your post and yes I’d be interested please. The original bumper is straight but does need rechroming.

Thank you, I’ll send Peter a message. I had heard varied experiences of Autosparks. The other thought is keeping the main loom and simply replacing parts as required. It would be the first time I have rewired a car completely and I don’t want to make work for the sake of it. The difficult part seems...

A good effort today! Heater removed and now in the process of cleaning it up. I quite enjoyed sitting undisturbed in the engine bay with a cup of tea! Matrix actually looks to be in very good condition so might be reuseable. Much muck behind it as expected. The locking bolt holding the actuating rod...

I will check it is all ‘square’ one more time before I starting putting the bolts in place. I’m not quite sure what to work on next, but it’s probably heater box dismantling / rebuilding and the rewiring . At least with the body on it’s a great morale boost :) .

And yesterday .......Voila! Starting to look like a car again and now only taking up one car space in the garage. New engine crane has been worth its weight in gold :D . It really took some time fettling the exact position of the body but I got there!
