Something like this? It might be too much of a contrast against the black.I did it because I have always liked the “Lotus” type look and that vac formed plastic was in a very bad way.I have now to tidy up the rest,it did take a long time to make and I have had the aluminium anodised,so it will stay ...

Thanks Roger! ref a warmer cam,I will just keep advancing it until it pinks then back it off a touch. That is when she is back on the road😀 I found with the MG,whatever state of tune, get it around 28/30 vac plugged at 3000 rpm and go from there until it pinks.Always seems to work.

Thanks Roger, dead chuffed to be honest.I have put fresh Castol Classic in there with a Halfords filter.I will change that for a genuine EFL90 this week.I am sure she is running better than when I bought her home.I found an assortment of odd sparking plugs, leads,a strange filter I had never heard of....

Ha! I thought that would bring a smile. All is rosy in the world now I have gone back to points. That will not last,it is a Scimitar after all😉One thing I was expecting and sure enough, the distributor was almost welded to the block after a few years. However, after liberal applications of old fashioned ...

Garage advice possibly concrete prefab

Just my tuppence worth on this, especially regards the dpc. I will eventually be building a garage too,I have had the luxury, albeit at a price,of a rented one that was inbuilt to an office, very warm and dry. However,I now have to leave there.I may well build a wooden one. This is because a few years ag...

I just wanted to see what was inside a reasonable one, then I will strip the one on the car.The guy who looked after it before me...Iain Daniels...had suspicions about it.First things first, sparks next😀

I am making progress, life and the rain get in the way😀 The new coil is fine, checked it on my old MG, next thing will be to fit points and condenser and check the timing.Hopefully fittings points back will at least fire up the coil,I have no way of checking the Accuspark unit I fitted a couple of yea...
