I made a U shaped cradle to fit under the GB and on top of the trolley jack - not perfect but stops the GB from spinning around.

Nice of you to say such things - I used to do drawings as part of my job so when I gave up work it stopped me from getting bored for a while. I do like it when someone finds a mistook on the drawings - they are mistakes lurking around as I used the original drawings to make mine from.

I have had my Coupe masked up for a long time ( long story ). Today I have been taking the tape off - and as usual had a lot of difficulty doing so especially around the front and rear screens. I have to ask why you want to replace them. They are much better than those on the 6's. On the MB I have fitted Wilwoods which are far better than the Lockheeds but never had a problem with our 5A brakes ( when we had it ) and still run the original Girlings on our Coupe.

I doubt if the original shocks are available but you can always adjust "modern" ones for a soft ride - as for the springs uprated ones are the way to go - the originals will not last for more than a couple of years at best.
