No mention of measurements after you swapped the rear springs left to right? Did you measure the compressed and free length of the springs? It is interest do you know what springs you are fitting to the rear in terms of length and rate? Good day , the rears are SS1 'standard' as ordered and supplied new by QRG...does that help\ clarify...? Length seems the same as the old that i took off, i did note the newer ones were harder to compre...

Good day all well after confirming the spring compressors i had were too big,failing to find a garage ( bike\car) that could help, i modified two scissors jacks by welding four locating tabs, two for the coil spring and two for the lower seat groove....and by winding about an inch each side... i got...

Either get yourself a set of spring compressors or find a friendly garage who does...please! They're only £20 from Machine Mart..one in Great Barr and one in Wolves. i have a set of compressors i used on the TR - but suspect\read the hooks may be too large?, will try those first and then plan B loo...

Good day all, my rear springs arrived from QRG ( top service- its the first time i have used them) , i am planning to use my tie down straps to try and compress the springs...which is not the best plan i agree.... i have solid steel rod which go through the shock eyelet and then feed the straps arou...

Do check your rear trailing arms to be sure one isn't giving way. Think it would be alarmingly obvious if so, but while you are there. The Monroe rear damper / spring units are generally very good, so if you have a fully functioning replacement you could simply swap that in and carry on enjoying th...

right....measurements are as follows:
ground to jacking, gap between arch and wheel top
NSF: 6", 2"
NSR 6",0.5
OSF:5.5", 1.5
OSR 5", -1.x "

so will be swapping units between sides today and remeasure on Sunday ....but seems conclusive ..?
