Great write up! Looking forward to the next installment. "Will it fit in the cubby?" I assume it will but I still want to see!

this is how they are fitted to one on my C's which is the same as my 5. short ones near to tunnel long one to outside of each box. The plat Jim mentioned has been made of stainless on this one
Is that stainless spreader plate attached anywhere else, or just from that one same bolt that we can see?

I've bought some straps from Geraint too and these pictures are gold. Thanks to everyone.

Once more from me, not that it adds a great deal, but I had already uploaded it so it can't do any harm :D

He posted pictures on here. it involved some fabrication of plates into the little storage areas in the boot (where the jack is), whic...

Re: North American Scimitars

One of the USA scimitars I found was a brown one that is/was owned by a movie prop company in LA. I just read about that programme and it sounds like it shows old British shows so probably a UK based car/show?

Re: Joe's Scimitar 1972 GTE 5a - 2015 the year of shiney

Had the day off work today so I drove over to Kent in the poring rain to pick up some new wheels... I'm still continuing the new years resolution towards making things shinier! I'm a big fan of the original Dunlop composite wheels but I'm aware that the set on my car are a long way past their best ...

Re: What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Here's today's selection. I wouldn't be surprised if this was nothing to do with the show, and just a local. Its a posh area where this show is! http://i.imgur.com/u8FGRTt.jpg This blue thing was my favorite. A Panhard I think. http://i.imgur.com/MIk8fiB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0rQUXS8.jpg There is a...

Re: Mystery Car

I think the hinge is a reflection/shadow. It does look like a hinge so I'm not sure, just think.
