SS1 master cylinder

I tried all of the usual BL people, no one stocks them so I phoned QRG. He is going to try to take 2 out of a used master cylinder for me.....at a price of £15 plus vat! I need these but I won’t be using QRG again! I’ve bought a master cylinder seal kit from eBay for £7. I’ll let you know what it’s...

2.5 Coupe for sale

It's still a lot of car for not much money.

Matching the red won't be easy but it could be made to look a great deal better for not too much with someone good at painting.

Sabre L932 LNU 1.8i - Inlet Manifold

Thanks Craig.

Could anyone comment on whether the marking on the two manifold-to-head mating faces is 'usual' or is this manifold pretty beat-up?

Sabre L932 LNU 1.8i - Inlet Manifold

I have been considering selling my red 1993 Sabre throughout the Summer, but having used and enjoyed it in May and June, I'd ignored the sensible option to move it on in Summer and left it in the workshop whilst I used and worked on other vehicles. A few weeks ago workshop space was needed to be abl...

Re-placing & re-route fuel pipes

Agree with Jim. Bit more work but means it’s easy to change them next time. Move pump to locate on cross member at same time.

FWB 144H was Bev's but is now in my possession.
The rounded arches shown in the pic above where changed for Escort Mexico 'bulges' but have now been replaced with some remade rear arches, cut and splayed to cover the 4HA axle it now has.

Electric fuel pump straight 6 engine

I have triple Stromberg 97's on a flathead V8 that uses a progressive throttle linkage, so runs on the middle carb most of the time until you press the throttle which brings fore and aft carbs in to use. The differing cams means they are all fully open at full throttle. It's rare that I get the car ...

Thanks Jim. How rare are the coupe diffs? It's only the aluminium cover that I want. A rebuilt axle was for sale earlier this year for £350 (I thought that was a bargain) - can’t remember the last time I saw one for sale before that? One of the serial coupe hoarders may have spares? I resemble that...
