Thanks Jim, just regarding welding a bolt on have you seen any job with this done? Just be slightly concerned about welding near fibreglass

The hinge just snapped clean off at the side of it, so trying to join it up is not possible.

Problem with Scimitar Se5 boot hinges

Hello folks, my boot hinge has just broken clean off and the other one is seized solid, just wondering is there any other way in fixing this without having to go cutting off the fibreglass and trying to get the old bracket out, just would like to know if anyone solved this by doing it an easier way.

The rubber fuel line from the tank is perished. I will have to check the fuel line, there is fuel coming up but its only dripping into the inline filter so perhaps there is a blockage along the way will have to check that out, i'm assuming the inline filter should fill up fully mine won't fill up i...

You are setting the choke by pushing the throttle to the floor Before starting to. Set the choke flaps ? If so check the. The ignition switch is two parts - mechanical and electrical (as you already know because you've split yours). Great thanks for the diagram, there is a spark in the dizzy but its a very weak spark, would you think the standard coil is suitable or should I go with the ballast coil that would have originally been in the car?
