SE5a for restoration - offers

Aww, that second photo almost brought a tear to my eye, and it's not even my car! I'm sure it's in safe hands with Josh. It'd be great to see her returned to her former glory one day.

Consider yourself blessed that you weren't subjected to such utterly lazy advertising! It was embarrassing.

Good GOLly, Will - you kept that one quiet! I never knew you had a secret wreck of a 5a! All the best with the sale. It'd be nice to see it back in its full glory...

Car Cover

I can't recommend a particular type, but there may be something to be said for just leaving it uncovered to allow the body and chassis to 'breathe'. I discovered this the hard way when my previous Scimitar's paintwork started bubbling up within a matter of days after fitting a car cover.

Good or Appropriate Number Plates

Tee-hee! On that note, I think the colour Mark saw on the M4 is in fact classed as 'blue' by BMW/DVLA. I saw an M6 in the same colour recently, and when I looked it up the car colour was listed as 'blue'.

Good or Appropriate Number Plates

I spotted this one last Friday. Appropriately enough, it was parked outside the School of Classics at Edinburgh University. I did have to ponder where its weak point might be... Achilles.JPG Interestingly, its sister plate, AK17 EES, is on another white diesel estate - this time a Golf. Both w...

I gave up on photobucket when they tried to hold us all to ransom.
Yes, I was exactly the same. I've just paid one month's subscription - there will not be another!

Scrap Scimitars

A friend of mine discovered these Scimitars in a scrapyard between Howwood and Lochwinnoch. [Apologies - photos are attached in my next post below...] Sadly, these photos are from a couple of years ago and, on dropping by today, I discovered that the Scimitars have now gone. I had a brief chat with ...

'J' reg 5a for sale

Yes, so all the signs are there - 5a 'Scimitar' lettering, 5a black headlight surrounds, 5a Scimitar side badges, 5a interior... So what's the deal with the 'J' reg, I wonder? Personal plate?
