Re: Dilemma, break or save??

How much does it cost now to have a new Webasto roof professionally fitted? A lot,I suppose, but when I had a 6 I thought the full length Webasto was one of the best features of the car. Fold it back a little for a bit of ventilation and all the way back in hot weather to give an almost open car eff...

Re: Vehicle details

Residents parking areas are usually policed by dedicated council employees, I hate to have to disagree but here the police are responsible for the policing of residential permit areas. I'm not talking car park areas which the council are responsible for policing, these are resident parking areas on...

Re: Vehicle details

Residents parking areas are usually policed by dedicated council employees, the police don't have enforcement powers for anything other than obstruction as Greeny stated. probably not what you want to hear.... if there are no painted double yellows it isn't enforceable so technically legally parked ...

torque converter is bolted to the flexiplate, you need to rotate the flexiplate until they become visible.

Type 9 gearbox modification

I am looking to shorten the tail stock on a type 9 gear box so i don't need to use a cranked gear stick. Any companies out there doing this conversion? i may have to do it myself and get a local engineering firm to do the welding. These boxes are getting expensive so i would prefer to use some one w...

Re: Watts Linkage Se6a

there is no pretension on the central pivot, it is just a large rubber bush, you may need to use a jack to move the axle up and down to remove/fit the watts bars.

bumpers can be a swine to remove because the bolts heads rust and the retaining bolts are in tight spaces.

good luck

Re: Watts Linkage Se6a

yes there is a tension on the watts linkage if you jack it up using the chassis as support less so when you use the axle for support, either way it isn't that difficult to put it back on. take care that you don't shear the four watts linkage bolts into the back of the diff cover esp if an alloy cove...

Re: 3 Issues With My Scimitar That I can't Fix!

your right that isn't original equipment it is a relay to protect switches. Common "upgrade" to try and increase the power to the lights with out damaging switches and wiring. Get someone to put the lights on main beam and hold the relay you should feel a "click" inside. if not i would change it and...
