Anyone for a Gentry?

A lick of paint and getting it running will aid the sale I'm sure. Just didn't want to trip over it for the next 12 months or more. It would help if I hadn't paid so much for it :w

Could be a genuine buyer (life can get in the way sometimes) is he on the club fb page or this forum?
No. It was for some sort of kit car, and he lives in Blackpool. Called Jon Grey. My texts are being delivered, and email but no reply.

PayPal and deposits

You have to think along the lines that if the customer decides to make a complaint against you through PayPal He/she would probably get the money back anyway. no buyer protection unless it was sent as goods and services (with associated fees). Just a friend / family payment. He hasnt even asked for...

PayPal and deposits

I had an engine advertised just over 3 weeks ago on Ebay. Someone contacted me via Ebay and made me an offer of £450 as a private sale outside of Ebay. I agreed and they sent me £350 via PayPal, and agreed to pay the balance on collection. I spoke to him initially on the phone, and we agreed a date ...

I still cannot walk in the garage so getting a bike never mind a car in it is not on - also I am no longer a youth - far from it. Looks like you might be able to get the Triumph straight six in as there is space at the front
Yes theres a few straight 6 ones been built

Anyone for a Gentry?

I think the Front outriggers of an SS1 chassis would be too visible with those front wings/running boards? Engine and box would be good but what is the Gentry chassis, is it Herald/spitfire? This one is a Herald. Though I believe the spitfire is the same apart from being a slightly different length...

Anyone for a Gentry?

That's a long bonnet for a 1300cc engine, could have been tempted in my youth Yes - though your legs are under the first third :) :) I was / am contemplating an SS1 engine and box in it. I think I'll see if the number plate is transferable when the v5 comes back, as that could change the game :) (P...

Oily rag was offering one in the for sale section for the very reasonable price of "sensible donation"

No engine or box unfortunately 🤔
