Using van winter tyres on a Scimitar?

Thx for your input Gents. You kinda confirmed my fears, and thus steered my away from van tyres. Instead I've taken your advice and gone with 195/70 R14 winter tyres instead. Opted for Fulda Kristall Montero tyres. I've had Fulda winter tyres previously and while they're not as impressive an Conti o...

Using van winter tyres on a Scimitar?

If it is UK registered, they cannot expect you to conform to their Construction and Use regs Shirley? I'm not sure whether you mean their regs in terms of use of winter tyres or their regs in terms of tyres which suit the car?? What I do know as a fact is this: If driving in snow conditions in Germ...

Wet Carpet!

Gotcha!
So effectively, rather than prevent a few drops of rainwater from entering through an open door, it instead pours liberal amounts of water into the cabin through the holes which hold the stainless steel trim around the gutter in place...?? What a brilliant design...!!

Using van winter tyres on a Scimitar?

Just to be a bit more precise, I'm considering something like this: https://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=tY9i9hIBjGPCQEyc.110.672987855&sowigan=Wi&Breite=185&Quer=&Felge=14&Speed=R&kategorie=&Marke=Maxxis&ranzahl=1&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&Herst=Maxxis&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&Label=F-...

Using van winter tyres on a Scimitar?

Hello Gents, So as I've advertised elsewhere - http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40344 - I'm about to set off on a little wintertime roadtrip to Denmark and back this coming February. As both Germany and Denmark require use of winter tyres at this time of the year, I'm now searc...

Wet Carpet!

So I've just noticed that the carpet in front of the left rear seat is wet. As in properly soaked ! Needless to say, I'll be attempting to dry it all out later today. But I obviously need to find the culprit of the water coming into the cabin too. The carpets elsewhere in the car ar all dry,...

Okay.
Well on that note, any thoughts on where I would source new wheel nuts for either steel wheels or Dunlop wheels?

Wheel options??

Thx Roger and Phil for your input. Much appreciated... Roger, cost is indeed part of my consideration - but not my sole consideration. As mentioned, I’ll be driving the car in Denmark. They spread ridiculous amounts of salt on the roads there throughout winter. All that salt is less than ideal for a...

Wheel options??

Evening Gents, I plan on driving my 'new' Scimitar back to Denmark for a week or so with the whole family onboard. The thing is, both Denmark and Germany for that matter, have legislation saying that if there's snow it is a legal requirement to have M+S tyres (winter tyres) on the car. I don't want ...

B-pillar Back to Black

If you do try it, please tell us what it is like. By the way, Frost's shop is in Rochdale, home of your Olymic! :D Will do... As soon as my Olympic is back on the road (in approx. 18 years from now!), I'll make sure to drive there in the Olympic to pick up that Eastwood product from Frost's....
