1978 SE6a Auto, 1997 Ducati 900ss & Ifor Williams P6e

I should have mentioned that the car has 4 x brand, spanking new Vredestein sprint classic tyres on it. Or to be more exact, they were new in 2014 and have done about 20 yards in that time. That is the main reason I don't like it sitting not getting used - the tyres will be out of date before they a...

I thought about £4,500. Dealers are asking £6,500 for that condition and mileage - although I doubt that they are getting it.

I have owned it since June 2000. If genuinely interested I can PM you the details.

Yes, I remember now that I did have a Photobucket account so must have used it at the start of the thread. I am pretty sure that I will have the photos on an old backup drive, somewhere, so will try and edit and upload them. Anyway, I better have a practice so there may (or may not) be a photo here:...

Hi Jim, I assume they have been deleted due to the age of the post or because there was a server change or something. I might have them and be able to re-upload them, don't hold your breath though. Most people put the relays nearer the headlights and battery - which is even better I suppose - but I ...

For Sale: 1978 SE6a Scimitar (Automatic), 1997 Ducati 900ss and 2014 Ifor Williams P6e Trailer. This day has been a long time in coming, but it has arrived. Re: What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Have not posted on here for a long time -- for various reasons -- but have been meaning to take photos of these cars for a few years now: It is not every day (unless you live in a certain part of Montrose of course) that you see a pink Trabant and an Alfa Spider in the same place. What is in the sec...

Re: sky tv price

I too don't have a television. Got rid of it (temporarily) about 5 years ago due to a combination of events. I wish I had done it years ago! Also don't have a land line phone and I know a few people who have contacted Sky to say they have been made redundant (or whatever) and have recieved substanti...

Re: SE6a On Road Restoration, repair, modification...

I have listed it in the "For Sale" section but it will only be going if someone really wants it. A couple of people have enquired but I think I have managed to successfully put them off - I am probably asking too much ££. There was a builder working in the area saw it sitting and asked if I would se...

Re: SE6a On Road Restoration, repair, modification...

Well, that is it - my Scimitar is, after seven years constant use as an only car, now off the road and tucked up in a snug garage. It even has a period carpet to sit on (it is out of my sitting room and even though it is like new I could not even give it away). Scim2.JPG It has had a very thorough p...

Re: Saab 9-3 1.9TiD

It, as you say, does the job and I am not seriously knocking it, I just expected a bit more character. I does, however, have quite a nice turn of torque once you learn how to feed in the throttle and drive around the turbo lag - perhaps the twin turbo TTiD version does not have that lag.

Re: Saab 9-3 1.9TiD

Trust me to buy one of the mundane ones, but then, of course, it is not a "real" Saab but a GM version. Ok, that is another :w then. I am definitely not selling the Scimitar now and if anything this will (hopefully) spur me on to get it sorted out. Better update my signature to get rid of the ...

Re: Saab 9-3 1.9TiD

Well I have had the Saab a few weeks now and today was the first time that I have went for a proper drive in it just for the sake of going for a drive, something I used to do a lot in the Scimitar. I just want to say that it is, without any doubt, not only the most boring car I have ever driven but ...
