SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

I've just spotted you live in Montrose, just down the road from me ( Aberdeen). Might be better if I come and see for myself and your other items. How can we arrange? David Hi David, All the axle parts are gone, but it is not easy to see as the information is spread out at various points in the thr...

Hi Mick,
thank you for the speedo :)

I'm sorry about the cat. Never nice.
Mikey, I will continue to watch your project with interest.

Thanks. I have plenty of wounds and scars to remind me of the cat - she was a bit of a handful, to put it very mildly.

SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

Ford C3 Automatic Transmission manuals now on their way to their new owner - thank you. Essex V6 cylinder heads sold pending payment and courier collection. It is really hitting me now, with all these parts I spent years collecting going, that my SE6a is actually gone :( . As a punishment for sellin...

SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

Well, the things that were to go to local auction are still here. The person that was to take them for me has decided it would also be good for her to clear out her loft and we can take a big load together (I can take it in her car more likely). What this means, in reality, is that my stuff will sti...

Worst car I've ever driven was

Been a while since anyone posted here..... Mine was a Chevrolet Matiz hire car about ten years ago, truly terrifying  . Almost no power below 4,500rpm then everything at once - like a highly tuned 2-stroke but with terror rather than excitement. Not a car to drive around Milton Keynes when yo...

SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

C3 auto gearbox and torque converter now collected - to be kept as a spare, hopefully never needing to be used.
Also 5 litres of ATF Type G. I still have about 10 litres of ATF left.

3.07:1 crown wheel and pinion gone as well. Thank you.

SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

Alan, The balancer is static and has a "bullseye" spirit level on it that lines up when balanced. The spring loaded platform holds the wheel level and the cone on the centre part centralises the wheel. I bought it after having a blowout on a lorry and the guys that came to change the tyre had one in...

SE6a (mostly, but not all) parts

I am taking a load of stuff to one of the local auctions during this week but thought it only decent and polite to offer on here first - it is not all Scimitar related but a lot of it is. I will probably chuck the Essex heads and other bits in as well. I doubt they will take the C3 gearbox so it wil...

Renault Scimiter [sic] Rat Rod

I suppose the car has a kind of charm to it, sort of :?

It will be interesting to see what it makes, especially compared to Scimitars of similar age.

Se6a “number 3”

Hi Peter,

I am seriously pleased that you are doing a project thread on this car - my concern was that I would never hear or see of it again, but it looks like that is not going to happen.

The paint looks excellent, by the way :D

Mick.

Good or Appropriate Number Plates

There seems to be a lot of this about here and it is not the sort of thing that impresses me in any way but since I am testing various anti-vibration camera mounting methods I am picking up a lot of random plates. Keeping up with the "Joneses" (or whatever) aside, this one is better than most, I sup...

Renault Scimiter [sic] Rat Rod

I am still browsing for a "no work required" Scimitar, if there is such a thing and came across this on evilBay. I did actually once have some one get quite animated towards me when I told him my car was a Reliant , not a Renault. They walk among us, are permitted to vote and, most frighteningly of ...
