Brake discs identification

Those discs don`t look too bad?. Give them a good clean up with a rotary wire brush then flatten the pads by rubbing them down on a sheet of 80 grit wet and dry on a flat surface, but be careful not to breath in the dust. A bit of work will save you hundreds ££££ I am having a clearout and I have a ...

Manny's 78 GTE

Good Call.

We will have to see what steps the insurance brokers/providers/companies adopt to cover themselves for claims on non inspected cars, early days yet.

Manny's 78 GTE

Manny
When you arrive to collect the SS1 HT I can walk you through the welding procedure on the chassis I have sitting outside waiting for rectification.

I have a chassis roller that allows a massive amount of access to replace nearly all parts on a chassis.

SE6A engine lifting....

Not BENT
Just pushed gently down then tie wrap it to the front of the rack

Remove the four anchor bolts from the rack and pull the rack out of the way and you will gain a few inches

SE6A engine lifting....

The pipe is only screwed into the rear of the pump so once this is done just pull the pipe forwards and tie wrap it down its quite forgiving so don't be frightened of it. NO NEED TO REMOVE IT FROM THE RACK, your only complicating things if it breaks off at the rack. If you unscrew the Four bolts hol...

Wanted -se6a rear drums and backing plate

This has been brought up before?????????
The Lockheed backplates need the 3/8" mounting holes drilling further round so the handbrake cables and levers match up.
Then it is a straight forward swap over.

Matty I have pm`d you

Rear brake drums

 Don`t give up the day job. But your nearly right :!: The SE5 drum has the inside mounting face Inset into the inside leaving a step, the TR3 drum internal mounting face was square off the braking face ie without the offset step. :? Kapri who did you get the TR drums from, and what did you ord...

Yep - but only late TR3 and the 3A - early TR3 are Lockheed (as per late TR2).
Jim I took an SE5/coupe drum to Moss International this week and we compared it with a new TR3a drum and they were a different shape completely??? :w

Wanted -se6a rear drums and backing plate

You have to rotate the Lockheed backplate on the mounting holes to get the handbrake cable etc to line up, and wriggle the SE5 cables about or swap for SE6 cable as its longer.
Just means drilling the 3/8" bolt holes on a different arc.

I`ve done a few conversions and its a great upgrade.

4HA axle SE6a rear drums on a SE5a Axle. Possible to mount and swap?

As far as I know there is not a current Vented disc available to fit the Girling calipers, there are however grooved and drilled available. I have a few sets in stock as I convert them to fit the later Lockheed setup. I actually went to visit Moss Europe yesterday and took a Coupe drum with me for a...
