Hi Stephen I have the parts you need, snail cam.
As with Jim I would post it, or the other parts you may need, for a donation to Macmillan cancer support.

"Mighty" SE6 - purchasing and wiper boxes

Ha Ha, Yes Jim but the Standard Scimitar owner don`t have that type of kit just sat in the garage just to do one job on a part that was signed off at the factory between 1976 & 77 and worked because it was new and full of grease.

Jim have you ever tried to flare the ends of the Bundy tube??.
I have a bespoke hydraulic flaring tool and it struggles with steel tubing.
Industrial machines are rather expensive and large.

Terry leave it as it is if all works ok.

I will measure the spindles on a late SE5a and give you a shout to see if the holes are identical

SST Ti MISFIRE, FALLING REVS

Possibly Phil, on inspection the mounting was "As New" and shiny, the spring washers were very tight on the clamp so I don`t suspect a bad/loose earth was the problem before?. Can someone else out there do the same...

Ian no need to heat the pipe up.
If to can get them into a vice or pipe bending machine the pipe can be straightened without crushing if the spiral is left inside.
