Don't be tempted by a "direct equivalent" to an EFL90. Only the genuine article will do. If you have trouble getting one, I have them on my webshop.

I need to check, but I thought that the shoe return springs go behind the shoes. You also have the top rear spring in the wrong hole.

The carpet is too thick to go under the door seal. However you could use some vinyl stitched to the carpet edge which would then hide the edge and will mould under the door seal.

It depends on the condition of the bore. No point putting new seals into a worn bore, unless getting it re-sleeved. If you get stuck, I stock new master cylinders for 6a onwards.

Quite, the beauty of waterless is the consistent temperature and lack of microboiling effects. Far more important than absolute temperature at one point. Standard cause of handbrake failure is the linkage that operates the shoes has siezed. Strip it and remove the linkage, you may have a struggle to clean it up. It should be a little sloppy when done. Give it a very slight smear of grease on the pivots too. Both sides need doing.
