Mikey Bikey's Scimega

I've never found them to grip very well , instead I use separate terminals and covers as per OEM and then use the correct crimping tools . A superior joint is achieved You must be buying poor quality then. I have never had any trouble with the grip of insulated crimps. The unreliability myth comes ...

A quick and easy test is to replace the oil filter. Might save all that work! If not, you have a spare ready primed for next time.

Another recent job through the workshop SE6b

If it only happened once, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe it was a bit gummed up so took a bit longer to free up? It is a special beast with two different seals on it. The bottom seal is very important apparently.

Beware the car thieves

I met plenty during my prison work. They have a funny mentality. They have a hierarchy of their own and have the idea that one sort of scumbag is somehow morally superior to another, hence the need for Rule 43 etc. They also (as stated above) have no concience whatsoever. I recall getting on YO on h...

Beware the car thieves

I'm with Corky though, if they want the car I want them to take it, without fear of threat or anguish to my family. I disagree. Another recent job through the workshop SE6b

This came in for head gaskets and a power steering rack change after it having broken down in France and being temporarily abandoned. I advised the owner that I would diagnose the apparent overheating issue but he wanted the heads off to check them and new gaskets. So like the Queen of Hearts comman...

Latest job in the workshop, chassis repairs

This was meant to be a wire brush and paint job, but I found some rather strange repair evidence. It clearly was not done to any acceptable standard so I decided to remedy it. IMG_3022.JPG IMG_3021.JPG During the cutting out of the "repaired" area, I noticed that half the problem was that the remain...

The word on the streets of wales

We have an interesting problem here (France) In the fashionable old town or in the british ghetto by the port if you try to order a drink in french you get a blank look and 'jer wanta pint?' The beer's undrinkable anyway, I only went once when I was working nearby. Not like Nice old town then. One ...

The word on the streets of wales

I was shopping in Lidl the other day. One checkout assistant on duty, so no choice of pretty girls, just this tanned chap sitting there. So as I was a bit overloaded, I asked him if it was OK to take the towable basket out to the car. I honestly have no idea whatever about what he said in reply. I a...
