How to bypass the starter inhibitor

The quick option is to turn on the ignition and flash 12V onto the solenoid terminal. That is all that would be interrupted by the inhibit switch. If the engine turns over but doesn't start, it's a red herring.

I can look it up tomorrow if nobody else chips in, but you can just reach the plug on the gearbox from underneath. Have a look to see if it is loose perhaps?

There are many fibreglass specialists in the UK, we do bodywork and there is also Dave Speed a bit further north. Undoubtedly there will be others that know how to prepare and finish fibreglass.

When you have a full towing electrics setup, you need a high curent feed which is only high when the engine is running. The sensible place to take this trigger from is the WL terminal on the alternator. So, if you don't want a filament bulb there, you can connect a relay coil instead to provide the ...
