Ben's (an emotional quandry) 1975 SE5a

Tried to get 3 inches of 11mm bore R9 fuel hose for tank to reducer. Surprised to see Halfords only stock R6  . Burton Power stock Goodridge hose at 11.1mm bore which would do - at £30.18p a metre  https://www.burtonpower.com/goodridge-black-fibre-braided-hose-8-11-1mm-id-per-metre-21...

Plastic fantastics

There is a hard top available with the GTC.

Don't discount the automatics, it suits the SE6 onwards very well and makes a nice cruiser. The A4LD behind a Cologne is very nice to drive. Perhaps manual would be a good choice on the 5 series.

Plastic fantastics

I find that my GTC runs better and starts easier on LPG. For the benefit of the smug green meanies, it also has almost zero emissions.

How to bypass the starter inhibitor

The quick option is to turn on the ignition and flash 12V onto the solenoid terminal. That is all that would be interrupted by the inhibit switch. If the engine turns over but doesn't start, it's a red herring.

I can look it up tomorrow if nobody else chips in, but you can just reach the plug on the gearbox from underneath. Have a look to see if it is loose perhaps?
