Carb service.

Also an old carburettor will have worn throttle spindle holes. No amount of "repair kit" will sort that out. Many of my customers who buy new ones from me, have already tried a magic rebuild kit!

The breathalyser nonsense is no longer active. The government would not admit being wrong, so rather than remove the statute, they have just made it a "non penalty" offence!

I have realised that voting is largely futile anyway. The government ALWAYS gets in!

Otter switch - how did we get here ?

A hot engine is an efficient engine. Reducing the run temperature will give you knock on effects that are undesirable, including mixture control etc that have all been calibrated for normal temperature.

There was a queue for that one on Facebook. Burton have them at vast expense, so might end up there.

For customer's engine currently undergoing surgery. Fibre wheel has a tooth damaged so I don't want to put it back on.

Thanks all, most useful. This engine bay is largely original so keen to see where the alternator regulator and fusebox is as standard. The wiring has been bodged a bit on this one and I have to sort it out!

That isn't an auto gearbox! It looks like the fan idler pulley on an Essex. If so, it has to be pressed out.
