What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Ah, the Pug diesel, a fantastic little engine and I took mine up to just over 330000 miles, yes three hundred and thirty thousand miles before I flogged for five hundred quid, never had anything done to it apart from oil and filter every ten thousand, just a pity everything else fell off or wore out.

What do I put the engine on?

The bottom of an old supermarket trolley can be modified with a few bits of an old pallet to take the weight of an engine then it's dead easy to move around wherever you want, I did it for a rover v8 many years ago.

Anything is possible as long as you don't run out of enthusiasm.

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Saw this last night in Inverness and although it's not quite a car it's a bit of a rarity and may be of interest. Just after I took the first pic it fired up and passed by in the next street.

Forgetfullness

Two things about getting old,

1. Loosing your memory,
2. Can't remember the other one.

Forgetfullness

Maybe your work is giving you too much stress which you have become accustomed to over the years and you have not noticed it build up. Take a break and go for a long relaxing walk. One day i went upstairs for something and forgot what i went for, another day i was filling the car and watching the nu...

Refitting a 6a Gearbox

That looks like a useful tool and a nice way to inherit it, I had a height of 20.5 inches / 52cm from garage floor to bottom of the car and it is sitting on four axle stands at max height, it was quite tricky to get the front end of the box onto the jack but when i was happy with the position both j...

Refitting a 6a Gearbox

It's been a good day here today, in fact it's been a very good day today. After what seems like an eternity I took an extra day off work and climbed into the overalls, an extra jack was borrowed and I finally managed to get the box back up into position and mated to the engine after a lot of wigglin...
