Why don't people fix anything any more ?

You should have bought a Zanussi. We had a similar problem with ours at around a year, it was getting really really noisy so we turned it off and called the engineer. Turned it back on the next morning and the noise was gone but luckily the engineer knew the script. There was a massive buildup of ic...

Yesterday afternoon I gave G.W. a ring and today an envelope with the parts arrived, the guy in the stores knew straight off the top of his head what i was wanting and that was without any part number. A 400 miles journey in between too. Happy days.

Excellent service.

Last night I was under the car yet again to remove the gearbox side plate with a view to replacing the three oil seals and I noticed that the overdrive unit is dripping oil from every nut and bolt also. Is it possible to remove the unit from the gearbox whilst the gearbox is attached to the engine o...

The last time I saw one of these things in the air was nearly twenty years ago when Air Atlantique used them in oil pollution control. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://cdn.planespotters.net/photo/431000/original/g-ampo-air-atlantique-atlantic-air-transport-douglas-dc-3_PlanespottersNet_4...

Last week I saw what I thought was a google car cruising around but it was an apple maps car, the cheeky sod pulled out right in front of me and I am wondering if the fingers will be visible when it goes on line.

A new cooling discussion

Years ago I was heading down country and after a drive of just over a hundred miles a cheeky Mini nipped past me as I exited a roundabout, stuff that I thought so I stuck it in third and floored it. The next thing the catch of the front hinged bonnet popped at around 70mph and up it came. As I slowe...
