Goodwood 6 October 2018

Thanks chaps. It was unusual to not see you at Goodwood Roger! You didn’t miss much. Goodwood 6 October 2018

The weather progressively got worse. I think I was fastest in practice! Everyone got a damp first run, then some people did a wet second run before it was abandoned.

whats the ss1 brake servo from?

Cant find any pictures - but I found an off the shelf generic wilwood bias box that bolts on with just a bit of drilling and a couple of clevis pins. Got it second hand off ebay I'm afraid so dont know part nos etc. One of this winters mods.

Got a spare pedal box here if you need one.

SS1 1600Ti Sprint Car

After goodwood we pulled the car apart again  First up was a new waterpump as the old one was leaking, we also fitted beefed up rear arms. I was also sick of the mess of wiring etc infront of me so decided to refit 3/4 of an SS1 dash and make a gauge pod, fitting a decent water temp gauge at t...

SS1 1600Ti Sprint Car

2018; Over the winter we didnt do a great deal. I dropped the water so it didnt freeze, we also fitted some fresh rear tyres and pulled the arches another inch to cover the 235s without contact. Gurston down was its first outing, and the car was monster. IIRC 4th on scratch in both saturday and sund...

Initial impressed were that the car was considerably faster than before (theres a surprise!), but as I settle...

After Market ECU

Nick Keysers is running an MS derivative iirc. ... Initially I was going to use a Fiesta RS Turbo ECU, Loom, and add a chip + the required bigger injectors, but this setup was £500+ of old second hand ford parts! And obsolete... Mines on an Omex 600 - I picked the ECU I wanted and then bought secon...

2.0 cvh?

It’s a ZVH - CVH head on a Zetec block. Used to be popular because the CVH head has massive valves / ports so works well in turbo applications, and the zetec bottom end is strong. You could also retain all the cvh turbo bits without needing to make new manifolds etc. This one looks like it comes wit...
