Rear brakes

Yes they do Dave, at least I know what I need to buy to fill the empty flipping drums! I think everything is available apart from the steel spreader in the top picture, any clue where I can source two of those? Looks like my wallet is going to take some more pain!

Rear brakes

Hi everyone I am refurbishing a 1979 SE6 and am about to embark on the rear brakes. I have inherited this chassis that had been stripped and there are no rear brakes to guide me in the assembly order. I have the brooklands workshop manual but this only has exploded line drawing. Has anyone got some ...

SE6 suspension query

Hi everyone, sorry for my tardiness in replying and updating you. I have spent the last few weeks refurbishing my SE6 parts and with the help of Queensberry road garage the front end is all boxed up and fitting well, no interference issues, just sitting high which will bed itself in out on the road....

SE6 suspension query

Ok back from the workshop and this old fool had been trying to fit SE5 parts that he thought were SE6! No fool like an old fool! I have retrieved the SE6 parts from the scrap bin and will refurbish them. I have noted the need to swop the lower wishbone mounts to accept the manual steering. Classic o...

SE6 suspension query

I am back to the workshop to disassemble the O/S pending the correct trunnions and I will then start to implement the advice here. As Roger has mentioned has anyone got a copy of the manual SE6 set up as the picture in the manual is about as clear as a chocolate teapot.

Roger, do you have a picture of an SE5 set up as I understand it i need to copy that, I have ordered manual trunnions and will start again next week. Thanks to you all for your invaluable assistance and guidance and yes the rack is SE6, that much I do know! I think

SE6 suspension query

Another thought, I was assured the set up was from an SE6 to match my chassis but your posts have me suspicious, for a rank newbie(who is learning quickly here) what visual difference to the upper and lower Arms is there between SE5 and SE6? Thanks in advance.

The trunnions are in good order but came from a PAS set up, what is the difference between Pas and manual steering trunnions?
