Classic Restoration Show - NEC - March 22nd -24th

Afternoon All, If any Club member has an “In progress” restoration and would like to display it at this show in March 2019, please can you get in touch? I’m looking for preferably a 5 or 6 series car that is mid resto to show the public the work that goes into restoring our cars. :D The car will nee...

660XYB Engine fix

Hi Philip/Chris, Whilst at a car show earlier this year, I was parked up next to a really fantastic Zodiac which had a RM head fitted. After talking with the owner throughout the day he gave me a business card of the place he gets all his spares from etc. It’s a small world! 8A4F0905-A09D-4136-ACCC-...

About the new black EFL90 FORD oil filter

Hi, I took a punt on eBay and was interested in what it was like compared to the original red and white type. I can’t remember if it has EFL90 actually written on it but it’s the same size as the one that I removed from the car and “assumed”, as it was a Ford Motorcraft, it would perform the same. S...

About the new black EFL90 FORD oil filter

Evening All, Interestingly, Burton Power are selling the exact same (black) filter and in their “additional info” section on their website, it states “EFL90” so I would assume (?) that they are indeed the correct/same item. I’ve currently got a black type on my 5a (recently changed from the usual re...

NEC Classic Car Show - 9/11th November

Ha ha! I probably won't recognize you Chris, so you'll have to remind me when I see you!
I, on the other hand, will have my name on a badge! (I think this is so us old codgers don't forget who we are!) :D

Wiring to overdrive for 5a

Thanks all for your help! Just by way of an update, my fellow Noggin member has currently got a 4 speed box in his 5a and has bought a recon 4 speed and o/drive to fit in its place but alas we couldn't find the overdrive supply (Yellow/purple).
