IMHO the front and rear guides break because people torque the heads down with a standard socket (you need a thin-wall socket) placing undue strain on the fingers.

I haven’t seen new ones for sale for ages - the concours Ford scene paid silly prices for the last lot.

I plan to try marbles or stones along with the cleaning solution and lots of shaking (need one of those automatic paint shakers :D )

These have appeared in the wanted section a few times but have obviously been cleared out. The only mention I can find is here in “gathering dust” where someone was asking for the elbow outlet and I said that Mark Wilson stocks the housing (presumably he had replied on a former thread?)

Edit - the small sports rads from the traders aren’t alloy yet.

Can you not just send them your existing rad for them to copy? I have leaky spares if you need one.
