Assuming fuelling and ignition is okay, first check on a sluggish CVH is the cam - a new standard cam will be better than a worn fast road version.

After a few days sorting niggles with the motorhome after Le Mans, I got back to Grawpy this week. After getting the loom laid out and plumbed in, I had a fault with the fuel injectors - number 3 opened as soon as you turned the key, and it stayed open during cranking (the other 3 didn’t pass fuel)....

CVH aren’t fussy about HG like some IME - probably wouldn’t use some eBay specials but any branded HG should do on a NA engine.

Is the floor lowered? I’m 6’2” and fit in an SS1, with a helmet on - but the floor is lowered approx 4”.

I’ve had to replace the captive studs in SE5 and SE6a bonnets before, they’re welded to a plate that’s bonded into the bonnet.

I’ve been in a road car with poly and it made a hell of a noise - however, that was many years ago and poly has improved a lot since then.
