Car SOS S6 Ep2 - Lancia Delta Integrale Evo

Just re-watching this episode which was particularly sad as the owner died before the car was finished and at the reveal (Whitmore Hall in Staffs) there’s a red 6 series in the line up.

Manny's SS1 1600

I’d imagine they have different advance characteristics and would make the 1600 a bit more sluggish?

Steering not centering after new rack

Yep, 184 is auto, PAS, RHD.

With non-PAS trunnions on a PAS rack you would normally find the lower wishbone mounts on the wrong sides and the top wishbones the wrong way round just to fit the uprights. I’d remove the whole lot (including 1/2” spacer) and check everything is in the right place.

Damper fitting - small question

Depends which make of damper. Those with a big knurled knob are pretty easy to do whichever way they’re pointing. Those that need a screwdriver would be impossible to adjust without removing the wheel if they pointed outboard.

I want to get the cars registered as VHI, Then I want to insure them as they need to be on the Insured database BEFORE you can apply for Tax, then exemption.
Why do you want VHI before insurance?

MOT changes

Yes, that’s not changed Mark - you must be insured before they’ll issue tax, even free tax.

MOT changes

That’s okay for a historic class car but you’re not going to get a free years tax on anything that isn’t?

And there’s a lot of cars that are over 40 (for MOT exemption) but not in historic class until next April.

FT180 Key

I have a box of random Reliant keys at the workshop - will check tomorrow.

If the economy Reliants use FT keys, I think James Holland (chgperformance) also has a drawer full of spare keys?

MOT changes

You can only declare VHI online when you tax the car (and you have to declare it’s still unchanged every year). There setill seems to be some confusion over cars that are currently taxed but not MOTd (as expected and discussed months ago). Some say you send off a hard-copy V112, others say you can j...
