I would imagine it’s the crank seal (which runs in the middle of the oil pump) as that moves and wears unlike the oil pump gasket? Looking good. For starter wiring just follow later cars - Reliant left the remote solenoid in when they first changed to pre-engaged starters.

This is apparently an LMB Debonair chassis "remade by Edwards" which eventually became the Sabre chassis?

I suppose technically, it's not galv cars that have it on the OS, it's galv chassis with all 4 engine mounts (CVH & Nissan). The galv chassis with CVH mounts only, have it on the NS like non-galv cars.

The crack could be causing a problem but the empty float chamber isn’t good - hopefully it’s just a float height adjustment.

First run, Nick couldn’t match his previous best times, with a 39.6, Richard is still stuck in the 42s, I improved into the 45s and Andy did a 51.5.

Sun is now scorching and final run in about half an hour.

Wet first practice - Nick, Richard and I all on 39 ish. Dry second practice, Nick improved by 0.01 on yesterday, Richard, Andy and I all around yesterday’s timed run speeds.
