At last! I have my SE5 back!

I think I have a spare coupe heater motor (which I think are the same as the 5) - will check this week. You need a late upper cross tube with the kink for the extra pulley. 1990 SS1 Netherlands

Looks like 11-XR-LG to me - and RHD. €1950 is optimistic IMO for something that doesn’t run properly and obviously needs lots of work, even for mainland Europe. Happy to deliver half a dozen cars in the same condition if they’ll sell at that price :D 40995ECA-7336-41F2-B0AF-D512FC85032D.png 3AF0BBCF...

At last! I have my SE5 back!

Hi I have already pulled the top cross member at the front of the block that is above the fan, do you mean a lower cross member? Yes, the lower crossmember on an early car can be removed to clear the sump of a later engine. I also through the 5 and 5a cross brace - the tubular part between the susp...

What cars did you see today? (Non-Scimitar)

Only the 280 was available as a factory targa but there were aftermarket kits for the 240/260 in the USA.

Just googled it though and the pic is definitely a 280 - totally different bodyshell to the earlier cars.

240, 260 or 280 - I don’t know all of the differences with US spec Z cars but it looks like a late model, so probably a 280?

Driving position

Just had a sit in a 6b and the wheel is offset from the seat centre by about an inch - two at the most.
