Starter Solenoid Relay

Battery > fuse box > wiper motor > starter relay IIRC? I have a battery kill switch where the relay used to be. I don’t think the auto really needs a solenoid, you could fit a normal relay? Edit - you can see it in this photo from Dave Poole’s sporting-reliant site. 7784494F-3300-4E69-BBAC-3FA52FA66...

When Reliant changed the starters to pre-engaged type, they left the old solenoid on the wing (presumably to use up remaining stock of looms) and just ran a new wire to the starter. I’ve removed mine as it’s not really needed. Item 18 - top ...

I had one once - sold it with a car. I’ve probably seen less than a dozen in 25 years?

How to value a project ??

If we’re talking about Scimitars, unfinished projects are rarely worth the sum total of new parts - that’s why they’re such good buys.

MX5 panels

I still have a few panels from a car I broke ages ago. Bootlid (early with no spoiler) - some scratches etc but very good condition for age. Collection only - £20 B4419265-8DE4-486B-8D7E-F46A47375187.jpeg 078A73B0-CCBE-4F35-95E4-AB05B3CFF1D1.jpeg image.jpg Also have a bonnet, both doors (e/w & e/m I...

removing diff and rear suspension as a unit

If the cable is worth saving, I disconnect it from the handle once the gearbox is out and pull it out with the rear assemblies - much easier to disassemble everything off the car.

removing diff and rear suspension as a unit

I did this the other day on a car I was stripping - handbrake cable and rear ARB also need to be disconnected and the front diff bolt is awkward if the body tub is still fitted (not a problem for your car). Cut straight through the flexible hoses and fit new. I left the Wheels on to make it easier t...
