No mention of ACO, so I presume the roads aren’t closed for the full track?

Axle stands on the jacking points is best IMO. I wouldn’t use the lower wishbone.

i know what you mean Mikey - when I wired up the 1.4 cvh injection from 3 different wiring diagrams (and philhoward at the end of the phone), i was still really nervous turning the key for the first time :)

Welcome :P Timing gear should definitely be replaced - alloy apparently is quieter than steel. Flexible pipe should be replaced with new pipe that can take modern fuel with ethanol - tank to nylon line, nylon line to pump, pump to carb and same for return lines if fitted. 195 and 205 width tyres are...

I think all of the new off the shelf systems for GTEs have them now - supposedly prevent cracking by allowing more movement. I had them on the 2.9i GTC and they started blowing within 6 months.

I usually tack those ball joints to stop them moving - they wear too fast IMO and leak badly.

They weren’t ever galvanised as standard (apart from the front section on Sabres as Phil says). I have standard spares.

Do you have any more pics of 70 & 76? I’d say there’s nothing in those two pics to say they’re the same car with any small degree of certainty.
