We’ll save on Postage and send two sets if you like Steve - I’ve been talking to Jamie for a while about a set for diesel but the fading surround had put me off.

Scimitar 4x4 Prototype to be Auctioned

So as I said previously, this seems not to have been a Reliant project so much as GKN/FFD hawking their transmission around trying to find buyers. But were Reliant as a company really secretly considering offering a 4WD option, or was this John Crosthwaite's own personal pet ambition, or was it jus...

38DGAS idle mixture issues

I've heard of damaged carb bodies that prevent the mixture screw sealing properly too?

If you had air in the system it would probably chuck coolant out of the expansion bottle when you shut down. The autochoke is fairly agricultural and will work on air temp as well as coolant temp. Easy to check by running up to temp with the air filter removed.

The whole body from the A post forward is longer than standard, so John C must have had a bodyshell modified at Reliant to fit?

Note the 5 stud Wheels too.

cvh specialist - Engine swap advice needed?

They came with 3 point belts as standard so I reckon someone's removed them. I'll sort a set out for you when I next get to the workshop.

I find the seats high but they should go back far enough - perhaps the rails are binding somewhere?

So you have the inertia reel mount, the B post trim has the hole cut for the belt and at the top you have the bracket for the shoulder mount (the same bracket that the soft top frame bolts to).

What belts (if any) do you currently have?

I hadn’t noticed you didn’t have 3 point seat belts?

Are they standard seats with the seat belt attached to the runners?

Send a pic of the B post trim upper and lower and I’ll sort a pair out for you Joe.

Really? I don’t know what a good PAS rack goes for but without testing it’s just an exchange unit.

Theoretically you could make flexible pipes up to slave it from a car or bench mounted pump - probably far easier to send it to Mark? :D
