Front timing cover help

No, there’s a suspension tower cross brace in the way (the early cars had a straight bar, the later ones are cranked to miss the idler) but even if there was room, you’d be cooling the spare wheel. The rad sits under the spare, the shelf/airflow duct is below the centreline of the idler bearing.

FBHVC ethanol survey

I think we all know the effects increased ethanol has on our cars - short term damage to fuel hoses, long term damage to alloy components and possibly increased susceptibility to fuel vaporisation. The FBHVC has commissioned a survey to present a response to a DfT consultation document.

Ah, I wasn’t sure if the stud pattern was the same. I probably have spare manifolds on the shelf though.

Not sure in your TVR but the Capri used a plastic bladed fan on that idler IIRC, possibly transit too?

The TLDM was standard fit on later cars, so will bolt straight on (you'll need the later air filter box). It has a vac operated second choke, so allegedly slightly more economical and water controlled choke rather than electric.

Something to be aware of

An item on the BBC website today reminded me of my prediction back in 2015 that you lot all scoffed at: By the time of the next election the majority of drivers will be using electric cars... really  https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45084671 Now wor Terry has moved the goalposts a tad has...

Something to be aware of

What I'd really like to see is a retro-fit industry spring up, that produces engine swaps, take out the old IC motor and slot in an electric plug n play substitute. It seems daft scrapping an otherwise perfectly good car just because the engine is undesirable. So why not take out the motor and fuel...

Looking for my parent's Scimitar SE6A

The Club archivist (Dave Poole) keeps records of all Scimitars that appear on ebay, so I'll ask him. Unfortunately I know that he's on holiday at the moment, so won't have access to his records for a few days.

no apologies needed - we don't discriminate against members that only post every couple of years :P

Did the SE6 registrar get back to you? My old version of the register says that it appeared on EBay at some time. There's no date on there. so it wasn't added by me, which means it's post early 2010.
