ScimFest @ Curborough 17-19 August 2018

+1

Thanks everybody for your hard work. Another great Curbs weekend.

I’m sure the attendees would love the Sprint Commentator to reprise his role next year, though some of the competitors may have a different view

Seriously though, great job Craig. Entertaining and informative.

G130 YCF my first sprint car

That’s how I was in my first couple of seasons. With hindsight, I think it hindered me a bit as I never drove the same combination of parts from one week to the next. I think I’d have benefited more from a consistent car and then made changes only when I understood the effect of each change.

G130 YCF my first sprint car

My Exedy has done a full season and is absolutely fine. Where did you get it from ? Edit (Ah euro) Is it biting very high and can the slip be adjusted out? BTW, I thought you did really well. The car looked great out on track. Get to know the car and you’ll go quicker. Seat time is more productive t...

Ignition switch

Heater knobs have a grub screw IIRC. So remove that and they should come free.

As the ignition switch was fairly generic across BL products, Reliant could’ve received switches originally destined for other models.

G130 YCF my first sprint car

I’m running 157BHP on a standard cam with 10psi. It was great on CM handicap until I fitted 1B tyres  . But they make you go faster, and it’s more fun! I’ll fit the Autosprint cam at the end of the season and take it to Jamie for a proper session. I’m hoping for between 180-199. The Sabre was r...

Hardtop installation

The factory method is soft top folded, hood cover on, hardtop on.

And on the extremely rare occasion that any of my GTCs had the hard top fitted, that was the best way of doing it.

SE6 Lockheed dual circuit brakes master

MGB cylinder has the wrong coupling to fit the SE6A Lockheed servo (if that’s what you have). If you post a photo of your master cylinder on this thread, I should be able to point you in the right direction or supply you with the correct MC.
