Watching the incars posted. In sorry Steve but your sabre has nothing on the Louch's booze bus when it comes to sound. That V6. What a noise!
My thoughts too. The soundtrack on Steve L's video is fantastic.

I think the limiting factor was the very worn two year old tyres, but still quicker than last year] I was shocked when Trevor said his tyres were 5 years old, no bloody wonder he wasnt troubling Josh! Gotta be 1.5-2secs easy on fresh rubber on Rocket and maybe .75s on yours Corky given the less pow...

This is my best run 68.02 in the RG1 road going class. A Curbs PB in this car. I was desperate to get a 67 point something, but close enough. I think the limiting factor was the very worn two year old tyres, but still quicker than last year :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkqhSECIwLE http://youtu....

Thanks to everyone who helped to organise and run the Sprint yesterday. Possibly the most full paddock in years. Well done to Josh for the FTD and great speech :D I thoroughly enjoyed the day, and the close competition from the other RG drivers. Also great to see how well our times compare to the no...

GTC 404 - Kenlow fan not switching off

Definitely not my work, but it looks like a Kenlowe unit. The slotted hole is there to adjust the switching temp' of the fan. Follow that double grey cable and it will more than likely terminate at a probe in the radiator cores. Your problem could be a stuck relay or a short/failure in the probe/wir...

Curbrough Compies Meeting

I somehow missed this post, but I've not got anything to add to the above.

I'll be there for the meeting, as I'm staying at the Premier Inn down the road on Sat night (nothing I need to rush off for).

GTC 404 - Kenlow fan not switching off

Have you got any photos of the installation Ron?

I think I had the fan wired through the original cabling and otter switch when I had 404.

GTC 404 - Kenlow fan not switching off

I think Martin fitted a probe between the radiator cores. Part of the Kenlowe 13HD kit.

Didn't realise you were still on the Pierburg. If you have a Weber available to try, give that a whirl. In my limited experience of PBs, I found that tapping the large nut at the front of carb with a suitable sized hammer, unsticks the widget inside and normal service is resumed temporarily until it...

Peter's SS1 Sprint Car

With the actuator in its closed position, are you sure that the wastegate is firmly closed ? Also have you tried opening and closing the wastegate by pressurising/depress' the actuator ? (I used a garden sprayer that is fitted with a pressure gauge to do this). I have had similar problems caused by ...

Trailer brakes

I'd have a word with Mark W, "gtcse8" is his forum name. He knows an awful lot about trailers and their braking systems. He gave me some great pointers regarding my Brian James car transporter.
