I used wire reinforced silicone and a few elbows. The breather is different diameters at each end, but there’s a silicone reducing elbow that’s a great replacement. I’ve got a full set of silicone replacements ready to cut to size and fit to my spare engine. I’ll have a look at my eBay purchase hist...

Yes, you need to press it into the carrier. No special press required, a padded vice will do.

I think the jury is still out, but 1st factory galvanised chassis is noted on the register as no.372 with a question mark :? 369 was steel, so if the owners of 370 & 371 could step forward 😀 More seriously, it looks like at least 70 GTC's were factory galvanised. Not recognised by dvla website, so probably is a photoshop job.

The diff ratio on the Cologne engined cars is different to the Essex.

A few owners have fitted 6/6A axles over the years though.
