Clutch replacement torque figures 1800ti

The challenge is doing the flywheel bolts without spinning the engine. I gave up and just used my wheel gun, which usually gives about 90lb. I also threadlocked them too. It’s such a PITA to get to them if they need nipping up! I think I used Subaru WRX flywheel bolts, they were same thread, length ...

Hi Corky, How did that happen? I think we must be told. (Only a little jealous!) Well................. Before a complete career change in the early 90’s I was a chef. I did an apprenticeship in a rather nice 5 star hotel and went on to work in other up-market restaurants and hotels. On th...

You’ll also find metal swarf around the speedo drive. Worth gently pulling it out and cleaning it out. On the subject of quick shifters, the eBay ones are for the S13 box, which has a slightly different stud pattern. They can be used, but require cutting and piecing back together. There’s an example...

Binding brakes this time.

The small difference in the length of the servo locating pin and depth of the primary piston recess is enough to hold the brakes on. But if this was OK when the new MC was fitted, it suggests that the locating pin extended outwards during use. In my mind this would point towards a servo problem. I h...

Binding brakes this time.

If this was a change that occurred with use, ie not immediately after the new MC was fitted by the PO. It’s unlikey to be anything to do with MC. They either work properly when fitted or bind the brakes due to incorrect adjustment of the servo locating pin. On failure of an MC you need to pump the p...
