1800ti Clutch

Deffo go uprated do you mean just an S13 clutch or an uprated S13 clutch? So far I've only reserved what i believe to be a standard S13 clutch at Euro's - easy enough to cancel so will go uprated if it's the best way forward... Thanks for all the advice guys, I've seen a few good writeups on gettin...

1800ti Clutch

I've reserved one at euros for now then! Doubt they'll be selling fake ones, and at £93 i can't really turn it down... Though will check thoroughly! Around a bar is where I think I'll settle with my ti for a while, I've got dreams of a DET conversion and silly boost but finances will put that on hol...

1800ti Clutch

is it sensible to go for the uprated then..? had a look around and can't seem to find the uprated one for £130, i think the one conceptua performance sell for £130 is the same OEM replacement that eurocarparts do? i could well be wrong on that but can't see any info on their page about it being upra...

1800ti Clutch

Hi guys, looking for some advice on clutches today! my 1800ti arrived with me with a slipping clutch, cured by cable adjustment, but I do still find it a bit suspect... It's always seemed incredibly smooth (odd to complain, I know, but to me it seems to be!) so I wonder overall if it's okay, are the...

SS1 1800ti thermostat outlet

Suddenly in dire need of the thermostat housing/outlet - the bit that bolts on and off the inlet manifold, for my ti, I realise reliantpartsworld sell them but I could do with one ASAP, if at all possibly - car was meant to be going to a show on Sunday  willing to travel to pick one up, so has ...

Turbocharged Holidays

Don't worry - I have axle stands - just where I was at the time I didn't have any - before I went properly under it I had both the wood wedged and the wheel that had been taken off under the car next to me... FAR from ideal I know, but enough that I felt safe for that short period of time - every ti...

Ti thermostat

Yup I'm reading temp from the megasquirt - I've got it set as per the nissan manual for the ECU sensor, they give a fairly wide range for resistance so I went for middle of the given ranges for resistance, so it could well be off, but I think it's very unlikely to be around 20 degrees off, which is ...

Ti thermostat

Okay that's great, thanks! seems 88 is indeed the one to go for... presume any std kit will come with the requisite gaskets, and is there any trick to getting the coolant properly filled and bled? there seems to be a different procedure that works best for every car I've ever worked on!

Turbocharged Holidays

Hi all, I've been on the forums a few months now, and during holidays from university (I'm an engineering student) been working on my SS1 1800ti, and it's definitely in dire need of a project page! I won't be able to get everything up in this first post, but should have it up to date in the next few...

Ti thermostat

As the datalogs from my megasquirt have shown, my Ti takes a long time to warm up, and always runs very much on the cold side, at around 70°c, so it certainly looks like a new thermostat is in need! The calibration I've put into the megasquirt is based off the figures for the ECU sensor from Nissan,...

CV Joints and Clips for Viscous LSD Conversion

Managed to get it off with a standard 24mm spanner - though I can see a shortened socket would be ideal... Struggled with a few bits but the old open diff is finally off - fingers crossed with no big issues it'll all be back together tomorrow... Having got it all apart to look at now, I'm slightly c...

Re: CV Joints and Clips for Viscous LSD Conversion

Thanks for all the advice guys! I've got all the bits now, and am cracking on with the conversion - will be using the springs for sure  Struggled with the final removal of the trailing arm today - all apart except one of the two bolts where it pivots - can't get anything onto the nut that's tuc...
