Peter's SS1 Sprint Car

Looks to me like it'll only fit one way anyway.

*EDIT*
Beaten to it.

SE5A wiring

The red the PO must have found it easier to splice in there than anywhere else, if it goes into the loom wonder if it's an original wire moved to another supply for some reason. One of the modern solid state voltage stabs, used plenty of them on my cars and not had any problems yet, the remaining te...

Any good auto electricians on here?

Is the body of the flasher unit earthed? All 3 pin flashers I've seen always send a power feed down that third terminal. It must be earthing back up through the indicator bulbs or something, how that doesn't make them light up I'm not sure yet. On cars with a single indicator warning light, you get ...

SE5a drivers footwell heater blower panel

Need a drivers footwell blower panel. Don't mind if there's no motor, really just need the panel and the flange that the pipe connects to.

Re: Paint for Chassis

Thanks for all the replies. As I said, I can't be bothered with the epoxy (I say I, it'll probably be my dad that ends up painting it :D) as it's not a concours car and it's got to be done on the garage floor, we've done two pack epoxy on the last TVR we built, even painting that as just the chassis...

Paint for Chassis

My Chassis needs a bit of cleaning up and painting, what paints are people using? My Dad loves Hammerite but I don't want that as it's garbage especially now that all the good stuff isn't in it anymore. Don't really want 2pack epoxy stuff, we've got some left over from a previous build but it's just...

Re: I have a theory and it goes like this

My understanding is that the fuse in a curcuit should be as close to the power source as possible, think it reduces the amount of vulnerable wire. Rather than going from ign switch to the fusebox, you could run an inline fuse between ign switch and the switch/gauge or whatever. The white ignition wi...

Re: Bushings per axle and brake calipers

Big Redd should be able to refurbish your original calipers, don't know what the postage would be like though to and from Germany.

Re: Lights problem, any ideas?

If you can get it back togethor, :D

I took apart a mini hazard switch to try and fix it once and could not for the life of me get it all back togethor. I'm sure extra bits materialised out of somewhere just to confuse me. :D

Re: In car camera/Dash cam

You can't really read them when moving no, as the wobble is just enough to blur it, but once you've stopped, or nearly stopped, then numberplates are visible, in that clip I could get the reg of the van as I was going through the traffic lights though, but other clips I've got, I can't make out the ...

Re: Quick auto box question

I'll get those o rings and gasket ordered at the weekend, thanks. Pulled the sump off today and changed the filter and adjusted the inter band, had the ramp time and the day off. Old fluid smelt quite burnt, no idea if it was the right stuff, sump pan was clean though, no big lumps of anything, filt...

Re: Quick auto box question

Do the first/reverse servo whilst you are in there. What's required for that? Just O-rings? Planning on doing it tomorrow as I've got ramp time and don't have any parts for 1st/rev servo, do have a selection of O-rings, chances are they'll all be the wrong size though. Does that require the control...
